Glass Crushers are perfect for empty bottles
We operate a city centre bar in York and over the years had frequent problems with the storage and disposal of our empty bottles. We have very little space outside and the large wheeled bins we used to store our empties were often pushed into the middle of the street during the night by youths. We also had a few complaints from local residents when the overnight collections caused a lot of noise.
We contacted WasteMax and they installed a glass crusher in our store room. All of our bottles now go through the machine and are ground down before they drop into a standard sized wheelie bin underneath the unit. We have four bins which we fill, then WasteMax arrives to empty them and we start over again. This means we have nothing stored outside anymore as the small bins fit inside. This is a much better arrangement and we don’t get complaints from the residents anymore about the noise.
