Why Maximulch

Most mulches are made of bark or branches that has been passed through a chipper. The chippings are quite large and have a high moisture content. MaxiMulch is completely different. It is made from clean waste wood. This has been passed firstly though a shredder then through a hammermill to grind the chips into much smaller particles.

The result is a fine dust free wood chip mulch that is easy to lay and will last up to 5 times longer that bark mulch. MaxiMulch lasts so much longer because of its low moisture content & small dense particle size. This resists the natural degradation process better than larger softer wetter bark chips.

MaxiMulch also resists being blown around in the wind and stays in place better on steeper inclines. A layer of up to 50mm (2”) retains ground moisture and also insulates from ground frost during the winter months.

MaxiMulch is available in convenient heat sealed bags of around 25kg. (Approx 88ltrs). Sold individually, or in different pallet combinations.
