We live in a terraced house situated within the historic walls of York City Centre. We have a small walled garden at the rear of the house which we have filled with planters and pots. Although we don’t have a large area, we use mulch mainly to retain moisture as everything dries out too quickly otherwise. Bark mulch is too big and coarse and doesn’t seem to stop moisture evaporating. MaxiMulch is far better. It’s also much cleaner and easier to use. It never seems to let any weeds take hold either, but the big thing is that it lets water through without washing away yet retains the moisture brilliantly. We recommended it to everyone!
