Save with bulk bags
We installed a medium sized pellet boiler to run our farmhouse and 3 holiday cottages. This was a substantial investment for us but justified by the ever increasing price of heating oil.
The boiler set up required a large bunker to automatically feed the pellets into the boiler hopper on a continuous basis. Initially we sourced our pellets of the grade suggested by the boiler installer and shopped around for the best price. The boiler never worked well or consistently until we started to buy HotPellets. Previously the problems we had were too much clinker build up in the firebox and far too much ash! The boiler installer tried several times to adjust the settings but couldn’t sort it.
We buy HotPellets in 1 ton bulk bags. We use the farm tele-handler to lift the bags over the bunker, then open the discharge chute at the bottom of the bag. The boiler installer adjusted the settings again for us and we’ve never looked back. After the early frustrations, we are now delighted with the boiler thanks to HotPellets.
