You can light a HotBlocks fire with only a couple of firelighters. You don’t need kindling or newspaper!

HotBlocks burn hotter and for longer than seasoned and kiln dried logs.

They are clean to handle and really convenient to stack and store. Because HotBlocks are all the same consistent shape and size they stack safely and efficiently. (A full pallet of HotBlocks can easily be stored against a wall at the back of a garage).

They are also much less likely to spit because they are so dry and this also helps to keep the glass clean on your stove.

After burning, HotBlocks leave behind very little ash (around 1%). This means less emptying of the ash can. The fine powdery ash can also be used in the garden as a soil conditioner or mixed in with the compost heap.

Because HotBlocks burn so cleanly they produce little or no harmful tarring residues in the chimney flue.

Unlike logs, HotBlocks are always the same shape, size, weight and moisture content. This means that they consistently light and burn in the same way, enabling the user to become proficient at using them and getting the most out of their stove or fire appliance.

HotBlocks are justifiably an eco-wood fuel as they are made entirely from clean waste wood. This is wood that has already had a useful life before being re-used to make HotBlocks. Unlike some of our competitors we don’t cut down trees to make our briquettes!
